Level: Beginner-Intermediate
Objective: To provide participants with the confidence and knowledge to speak, sing and perform with energy, precision, and emotion.
Lesson Activity: Participants will prepare a musical for performance. Instruction in musical theatre technique for actors includes body movement, vocal techniques for singing & speech, character development, stage presence, audience awareness and blocking. Instruction in stage management, props, costumes and sets will be included for backstage crew. Participants will take on acting and backstage roles based on the needs of the musical, their audition performance and their experience.
